Spencer Adams was born on September 10, 1989, in North Carolina. He Attended Butler High in Matthews, North Carolina. While in high school he received the All-Potential Award for his great size, range, ideal speed and mean streak which made him a great safety. He also played corner a couple times in high school. As a senior he was named a four star player and No. 18 safety in the country by Scout.com. He was SuperPrep’s #7 player North Carolina and their #19 defensive back nationally. He had 246 tackles and four interceptions over his last two years of high school including 145 tackles as a senior.

Spencer Adams participated in ESPN/Under Armour All-American Game. He also ran track and plans to run at Clemson University where he is committed to playing football. He holds North Carolina state record in 300-meter hurdles. USA Today named him All-USA Track and Field Hurdler. He chose Clemson over Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech.
