Mason Cloy was born January 22, 1989. During his football career at Spring Valley High School, Mason Cloy caught attention his junior year. After that season, Cloy received all-district, all-region, and all-state honors as a tight end. Mason Cloy's senior season only got better. He had 57 knockdowns that year and set a school record for most career knockdowns (175 total).

Mason Cloy redshirted his freshman season at Clemson in 2007 and will be ready to see action in fall 2008.
