Clemson University is home to the Littlejohn Coliseum which hosts home games and practices for the Clemson Tigers basketball team. Littlejohn Coliseum is located on Centenial Boulevard on Clemson's campus and the venue holds over 10,000 fans. The Littlejohn Coliseum was named in honor of Clemson University alum James Littlejohn who graduated in 1908. James Littlejohn was so important in developing Clemson's athletic facilities that the new basketball arena was named in his honor.
The Littlejohn Coliseum, like the Memorial Stadium football fields, are notorious for being deafeningly loud between fans' screams and the Clemson band's music. In the 1980s, btoh Def Leppard and Huey Lewis and the News performed at the Littlejohn Coliseum. Graduation ceremonies for Clemson University students are also held at the Littlejohn Coliseum.
